Midday or end of day — two different yogas

The Thursday class at 12:30 runs exactly an hour. It is the yoga of people who work in the European quarter: you arrive, you roll out a mat, you leave washed through. Marvin teaches it — fifteen years of practice, ten of teaching, trained in India and having taught in Germany, France, Singapore, Thailand and Nigeria. Well-built sequences, alignment, breathing.

On Friday at 17:30, with Andy, the rhythm changes. You are not heading into a meeting afterwards: you are heading into the weekend. That one is a class for letting go.

There is no level to have

Both classes are open to complete beginners. Nobody will ask you to touch your toes on day one, and every pose comes with an easier version.

There is no start date either. You are not signing up for a term; you come to the classes that suit you.

What to bring

A bottle of water and clothes you can breathe in. Mats are provided by the studio. You practise barefoot on the pale oak floor of the main room, with the garden visible through the glass doors.
